Let me tell you a little about myself.

I was born and raised in Dublin, Art has always been my passion in life and after scribbling and doodling my way through school, I was accepted into Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art Design and Technology, where I graduated with a diploma in animation in 2003.

While there, I was selected out of the animation faculty to work with a company called Artiteal as their chief caricaturist. This involved working at corporate and social events, such as corporate golf days, parties and promotional campaigns.

I also organised and ran art classes for children teaching them the fundamentals of animation, caricature and cartooning.

During my career I have had the opportunity to work at many events such as the Special Olympics, the K club, the Guinness storehouse and TV3’s ‘Ireland AM’. In 2006 I took a year out to travel the world with my now fiancé.

While in Australia I worked as the resident caricaturist in a ski resort in Victoria called ‘Hotham’ (yes there’s snow in Oz!:) This experience broadened my horizons and opened my mind to the possible opportunities for caricatures and highlighted how popular they are on both sides of the globe.

It was when I returned that I decided that I would set up my own company ‘Anita Caricatures’. So I returned to college in 2007 where I studied Sales, Marketing, Advertising and PR in the Dublin Business School. I successfully achieved a distinction in my exams, gaining me another diploma and the necessary skills to move forward in setting up my business. The rest is history!
